The American healthcare system consistently appalls the rest of the world. Sure, we’ve got some fantastic medical resources here – if you can afford them. As for the rest of us, well, it’s a very different story. Our health insurance system is a tremendous example of crony capitalism at its very worst. Prices are artificially inflated, cheaper competition is destroyed, and the consumers just keep on paying – only this time, they may be paying with their lives.
